What is included?

The Internship program is limited to no more than 4 Divemaster Trainees at a time. This ensures you of a one to one - Instructor/mentor ratio to you and personal attention.

DM Internship Prices

All of our Divemaster Internship packages include; course fees, accommodation (single occupancy) at casa de sol for the duration of your program, & in-house PADI processing fees. Double occupancy rates are available. The duration of your internship will depend on a number of factors, please contact us for a personalized quotation.

8 Week Internship ( Divemaster) $1600
10 Week Internship (Advanced, Rescue and DM) $2400
12 Week Internship (Open Water through to DM) $2850

There are additional fees of; $10 yearly Roatan Marine Park Fee, PADI Materials (see table below) and a Divemaster Application fee of $72 payable to PADI at the completion of your course, by credit card.

**Divemaster candidates are also required to provide their own mask, fins, snorkel, timing device (watch or dive computer) and reel/safety marker. These can be purchased through Ocean Connections at discounted rates.

What will you be doing?

Your time will be spent with a mixture of diving; assisting our staff with divers and PADI courses, learning to drive boats, helping around the center, practicing Spanish, skills development, compressor use, marine ecology and enjoying the island lifestyle!

There are additional opportunities for individuals interested in Marine Conservation and Education. The Roatan Marine Park office is located here in West End and as a Divemaster candidate you have the opportunity to volunteer with many Marine Park initiatives. This can include; mooring instillation, teaching/leading excursions for local school children, beach cleanups and many other opportunities for getting involved.

 

Assistant Instructor

Take the next step as a PADI Professional with our Assistant Instructor course! Taught over 4 days, the Assistant Instructor course covers teaching techniques in confined water, Open Water and the classroom.

Assistant Instructors can assist on PADI courses and teach programs like; Discover Scuba Diving, Peak Performance Buoyancy, Coral Reef Conservation, Project Aware and additional programs such as Digital Underwater Photography (additional cost).

The cost of the Assistant Instructor course is $250 and the PADI application fee is $55. Please contact us for a list of prerequisites and required materials.
