Learn to dive in Roatan, Honduras
Ocean Connections offers a variety of introductory scuba diving courses, from Discover Scuba Diving to PADI Open Water Scuba Diver (click here for more information on PADI. Whether you are starting out into the silent blue world for the first time or if you have completed introductory dives in the past, we can offer beginner courses that will allow you to enter the underwater realm and explore the natural wonders of Roatan's reef system.
Our confined water training site is the palm tree lined beach of Half Moon Bay, just next to the dive center. Behind the reef crest and inside the protected bay you will find the pool-like conditions offer an easy, relaxing introduction to scuba diving.

Discover Scuba Diving $99
(minimum age: 10, duration: 1 day)

Discover scuba is an introduction to scuba and the basic skills of safe, fun diving! This course includes a theory overview, confined water skills practice and an Open Water reef dive. Students practice scuba skills in the shallow water of Half Moon Bay, followed by a boat dive on one of Roatan's shallow water reefs. These dive sites are ideal for beginners and are populated with colorful reef life. Discover Scuba Diving can be credited towards the PADI Open Water Diver certification.

PADI Scuba Diver $180
(minimum age: 10, duration: 2 days)
*price does not include PADI Materials($30) or Marine Park fees ($10).
This is the first step in your recreational diving certification and will certify you to dive to a depth of 12m/40 ft accompanied by a PADI Divemaster. You will learn basic dive theory in our air-conditioned classroom, practice scuba skills in Half Moon Bay and complete two Open Water dives on the shallow reefs of the West End Marine Park. This course is a sub-certification of the complete PADI Open Water Diver course, and can be completed in 2 days. At any point in the future you can complete the final two days of training at any PADI Dive Centre for the full Open Water Diver certification.

PADI Open Water Scuba Diver $280
*(minimum age: 10, duration: 4 days)
*Does not include PADI Materials($30) or Marine Park fees ($10).
This is your complete introductory certification. The course consists of a mixture of classroom/self study, confined water sessions in Half Moon Bay and 4 Open Water Dives on a variety of the sites in West End Marine Park. On the final dive of the course students will also be accompanied by an underwater photographer who will take pictures during the dive and burn a copy on CD for the students. Once the course is completed you will be certified to dive in a buddy team to a maximum depth of 18m/60ft. The Open Water Diver course is a prerequisite for the PADI Adventures in Diving and Specialty diver courses.

PADI Open Water Diver Referral Program $200
*Does not include required Marine Park fees ($10).
After completing your confined water training and academics with your local PADI dive center you may complete the Open Water training with us in the warm, clear waters of Roatan, Honduras. This course includes the four Open Water training dives as well as accompaniment by an underwater photographer who will take pictures during the final dive and burn a copy on CD for the students.

PADI Open Water Scuba Diver
with E-Learning $310
*Does not include required Marine Park fees ($10).
PADI offers the academic portion of the
Open Water diver course online. After completing your
academics at home you complete the referral program
at our dive center. This allows you more time for other
activities during your vacation. This course will include
both confined water training and the four open water
training dives as well as accompaniment by an underwater
photographer who will take pictures during the final
dive and burn a copy on CD for the students.
