Learning to Dive on Roatan
Ocean Connections in West Bay offers the best possible conditions for learning to scuba dive. Our training site is the palm tree lined beach just a short walk from the dive center, students wade in from shore and inside the protected bay find these pool-like conditions offer an easy, relaxing introduction to scuba diving.
West Bay is located on the western tip of Roatan and inside the Roatan Marine Park. During your course you will be visiting dive sites in this area where over 95% of caribbean fish species reside. The Roatan marine park organization is actively involved in it's preservation and count on funds generated by local dive centers and businesses for support. Discover Scuba Diving $115

Discover scuba is a half day introduction to scuba diving and takes place right off the beach in West Bay. Students get to practice their scuba skills in shallow water before swimming out to the reef at Mandy's Eel Garden. This dive site is ideal for beginners and is populated with colorful reef fish, rays and corals. Discover Scuba Diving can be credited towards the PADI Open Water Diver certification.

PADI Scuba Diver $308

Scuba Diver is a two day course and the first step in your recreational diving certification. During the course students will learn basic dive theory in our poolside classroom, practice scuba skills in West Bay and complete two Open Water dives on the shallow reefs of the Roatan Marine Park. This course is a sub-certification of the complete PADI Open Water Diver course, and can be completed in 2 days. At any point in the future you can complete the final two days of training at any PADI Dive Center for the full Open Water Diver certification.

PADI Open Water Scuba Diver $409

This is your complete introductory certification. The open water course is four days long and a mixture of classroom/self study, shallow water practice followed by four Open Water Dives on a variety of the dive sites in the Roatan Marine Park. The Open Water Diver course is a prerequisite for the PADI Adventures in Diving and Specialty diver courses. |
PADI Open Water
Diver Referral Program
Completing a referral program with your local dive center will give you a head start on your diving vacation. The referral program includes the academics and pool work of the open water diver course and can be done at home before your arrival. After completing four training dives with one of our Instructors students are certified and ready to join us on our daily trips.

Scuba Diver with E-Learning
PADI offers the academic portion of the Open Water diver course online. Sign up now and once you arrive on Roatan we jump right into West Bay and start diving. Three days of training and students are certified and ready to dive on our daily trips.
