Roatan's Deep Diving Submersible "Idabel", designed and built by Karl Stanley, is the most exciting shore excursion you will find on Roatan. Idabel will take you further into the Western Caribbean's vibrant depths than most people will ever go-- depths up to 2,500 feet in his well-lit undersea vehicle; the large plexiglas viewing bubble allows you to see a rare variety of underwater life never seen by most people.

Roatan's Shark Dive - A must for any diver
The shark dive is done with Las Palmas Dive Center, which is located near French Harbor on the south side of the Island. The shark feeding is a low impact shark feeding and has been successfully operating for over seven years. You are guaranteed to see anywhere between 10 and 15 caribbean Reef sharks. Sundowners Beach Bar and Monkey Combat Paint ball
The only beach side bar in West End, cheap beer and fruity drinks on the beach in Half Moon Bay. They also offer paint ball games, please contact them for more info. |
West Bay Beach
This beautiful beach is located a short water taxi ride away from West End and is good for sunbathing, snorkeling and other watersports. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from and a few swim up bars as well.

Above the Water Sports and the Cannibal Cafe
The Cannibal Cafe offers kayak rental, water skiing, tubing and wakeboarding in West End. They also serve excellent central american dishes with a variety of hot sauces to choose from. Try the big kahuna challenge, if you can eat three they're free! |
Omega Lodge and Jungle River Lodge in La Ceiba
Pico Bonito National Park in La Ceiba offers river rafting, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, zip lines, rock climbing and mountain biking to visitors. Check out either of the two lodges for more information.
