| Spooky Channel - As it name implies, this dive site is very dark and spooky. Unlike most dives on Roatan, this dive is in a reef channel 30 meters deep and about 30 meters wide with spectacular topography, many swim throughs and typically large schools of sennet and a few toadfish hiding in the cracks and crevices.

This video is set to a mission impossible theme, during a storm an unnamed dive boat tried to drop anchor but was unsuccessful and left the anchor on the reef. Nick from West End Divers spotted it and all of us went and raised it the next day. |
Butcher's Bank is a sloping reef and a good spot for eagle rays and sting rays. Also the easiest place to spot the leechheadshield slug, a very small but brightly colored sea slug. |
The wreck El Aguila "the eagle" is the most popular wreck here on Roatan. Sunk in 30 meters of water and twisted and bent by a few hurricanes , this wreck has a lot of growth on it and some resident groupers and morays. |
Most Sundays we usually dive off the point of the island searching for hammerheads, we saw one on this dive for about 2 seconds, look for the circle in the video and a quick silver flash, that is the elusive hammerhead shark. |
Turtle Crossing - yep you guessed it, a good site for turtles. Hawksbill turtles are the most common on Roatan, howver we do see green and loggerhead turtles as well. Some very good turtle dancing in this video, check it out! |
